COSHH Awareness Training

Our COSHH Awareness Training course covers the dangers associated with hazardous substances and the controls that can be put in place reduce or remove the risks that they present.

Every year, thousands of people suffer ill health or injury due to contact with Hazardous Substances in the workplace.

By taking this course, learners will gain a basic knowledge of what hazardous substances are, the type of health impacts they can have, and how to identify them.

We consider the legislation governing the use of hazardous substances in the workplace before outlining  how to undertake COSHH Risk Assessments and implement control measures. 

During the course we make reference to a number of ways in which this information is relevant to the outdoor education sector, particularly working at a Centre, for example carrying out cleaning and maintenance tasks.
